Almighty Father of all things that be

Father of all things that be,
life, our work, we consecrate to thee,
heavens declare thy glory from above,
earth below is witness to thy love.
well we know this weary, soilŤd earth
yet thine own by right of its new birth,
that great cross upreared on Calvary
it from its fault and shame to thee.
still the changeful beauty of the hills,
purple valleys flecked with silver rills,
ocean glistening Ďneath the golden rays;
all are thine, and voiceless speak thy praise.
dost the strength to workmanís arm impart;
thee the skilled musicianís mystic art,
grace of poetís pen or printerís hand
teach the loveliness of sea and land.
